Collaboration piece with KOKAINE & WAAM Studio – Jié (结) Collection
This piece represents a synthesis of the new and traditional,
a melding together of the contemporary and the classic.
Traditional rattan techniques were used with modern stone
cutting to seamlessly fuse this classic material with precision
cut quartz. This brings together the contrasting natures of
materials and fully expresses them. The contoured waves
express the inherent flexibility and strength of the material
in a contemporary fashion, making the piece simple,
